Applaud and acclaim Chinese-made cinema

Article Abstract:

This article examines the Chinese film market and addresses problems that hinder Chinese film popularity. The author maintains that China has, and can again, produce top quality movies that draw crowds. However, a few things need to change in the film market, such as finding appropriate funding, opening up to international markets, and the writing of good screenplays.

Sex, love, and Chinese women

Article Abstract:

A comparative analysis of sexual practices prevailing in contemporary China and those from the Greek and Roman times to contemporary Western practices are presented. The study shows Chinese are mainly influenced by individual attitudes and sex is treated as private matter.

The move toward spiritual asceticism in Chinese sexual culture

Article Abstract:

The history of Chinese sexual evolution from the time of Confucius to the emergence of Taoism is presented. Chinese sexual psychology embraced Western influence which ultimately combined spiritual asceticism and prohibited visual sensuality in published material.
