Article Abstract:

David X. Cohen and Matt Groening created in 1999 the popular animated sci-fi comedy "Futurama", which was cancelled in 2003. The creators have something to be happy about, since the show is back in production. The creation of "Futurama", the factors which led to its popularity, its cancellation and revival, are discussed.
