Breast cancer in two regimes: the impact of social movements on illness experience

Article Abstract:

The article explicates the concept of disease regime as applied to breast cancer, and illustrates the benefits of utilizing social movements in illness experience research. It also theorizes that social movements alter patients' relationships to regime practices, in turn changing or shaping said practices.
