Building societal support for the rule of law in Georgia

Article Abstract:

Corruption in Georgia's government and society is found to be the obstacle to economic development and the establishment of the vibrant democracy in the part of the former Soviet Union. Thus, the high-ranking government officials and civil society leaders in Georgia asked the National Strategy Information Center (NSIC) to help them address the problem of corruption in their country.

Civic formation towards a culture of lawfulness: school-based education against crime and corruption

Article Abstract:

Baja California, Mexico, began a school-based education project in 1997 to combat corruption and organized crime. Monitoring and modification continuing through the present will see the program reach over 15,000 students by 2001, with possible implementation in several other locations.

Guide to developing a culture of lawfulness

Global crime has increased since the 1980s, an issue most effectively addressed in the long term by establishing an international culture of lawfulness. Key sectors in this process are school-based and civic education, centers of moral authority, and mass media.
