Cancer and aging

Article Abstract:

The Brookdale Center on Aging of Hunter College, a gerontology center in the United States and Cancer Care Inc., which offers emotional and financial assistance to cancer patients coordinated to provide mammography services for ethnic minority women. They employed a dual approach for the mammography outreach project: education and conduct of a workshop on the early detection of cancer. The collaboration between the two agencies enabled their staff to exchange new information that could prove useful for designing future programs.
