Decision on the age of mothers in one-daughter households who are allowed to have another child, 16 May 1986

Article Abstract:

Mothers who have one daughter and have been given permission to have another child cannot be younger than 29. There are no other laws about the age group of already existing children.

Article Abstract:

Regional governments are directed to carry out established family planning procedures in strict accordance with approved policy. All regions not yet implementing these policies should send copies of their plans one month prior to regional congress ratification.

Some opinions on the revision of provincial birth-planning regulations (State Birth-Planning Commission, Policy Department, Document No. 186/1994)

Article Abstract:

Family planning regulations in all China's provinces must support socialist legal principles, which is partly accomplished by integrating economic and population development. The masses must be given free contraceptive choice and all regional changes should be passed only after repeated discussions in people's congresses.
