Communitarianism: the new panacea?

Article Abstract:

The concept of 'Communitarianism' is prone to different interpretations and understanding. It often refers to small scale communities that predated industrialization and is said to be committed to redefining values by healing flaws and breaches. Its aim of reviving communal bonds by shoring up the moral, social and political fabric was supported by some political figures worldwide but the movement lasted only for a while. It is said that the key to resurrect 'Communitarianism' is to redirect its focus on social issues such as inequality gap and the rise of underclass.

An analysis of the minimum wage

Article Abstract:

The passage of the minimum wage legislation in the US Congress elicited a lot of controversy due to its potential impact on employment levels. Pro-wage increase legislators argued that the increase would raise the workers' standards of living and will help close the gap between the rich and the poor. On the other hand, anti-wage increase lawmakers cited the possible decrease in available jobs if minimum wage rules are implemented.
