Countering female terrorism

Article Abstract:

An analysis that examines the female terrorist activity in three cases and identifies six counterterrorism deficiencies that helps in explaining reasons for observers' failures to anticipate the emergence and scope of female militancy is presented. Severe counterterrorism efforts to prevent female terrorism by concentrating on major deficiencies emerging from the existing cases of female militancy are emphasized.

Cross-regional trends in female terrorism

Article Abstract:

This article examines the scope of female involvement in terrorist groups. The author, maintaining that historically women have participated in terrorist organizations worldwide, argues female involvement with terrorist activity is widening ideologically, logistically, and regionally in which women help gain a strategic advantage.

The Almajiri heritage and the threat of non-state terrorism in Northern Nigeria - lessons from Central Asia and Pakistan

This article addresses the terrorist potential of the Almajiri heritage, a system of fundamental, militant Islamic education, in Nigeria. The author argues the movement has the potential to very influential over Nigerians due to their history of British colonialism and the bitterness stemming from it .
