Dorothy Gazzolo, first JOH editor, dies

Dorothy Gazzolo is remembered for her contributions to community development. Gazzolo was the original editor of The Journal of Housing when the publication was launched in 1944, and was a past deputy executive director for the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. She also participated in many national conferences on housing and social welfare issues.

In praise of Charles L. Farris
Article Abstract:
Charles L. Farris is remembered for his many contributions to housing and community development. A past president of the National Assn of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, Farris enabled the city of St. Louis, Missouri to build Busch Stadium on a former brownsite, rejuvenating the region.

NAHRO candidates address conference

Inglis, NAHRO's senior vice-president stated that NAHRO had to foster opportunities for prevention of injustice. He was also of the opinion that NAHRO was constantly working in close association with the city's mayors to improve service for the less fortunate citizens of the society.
