Inscape/Michael Nash

Article Abstract:

Inscape is a CD-ROM company of the United States founded by the film critic Michael Nash in 1995. Inscape was launched with aids from the Warner Music Group, and has established itself as a mainstream CD-ROM publisher. The firm plans to produce adventure and edutainment games, and an artificial life technology called Creatures, which installs living digital pets onto the PC.. Nash was previously the media arts curator at the Long Beach Art Museum. He was also in the Voyager, where he produced a series of classic film CD-ROMs called the Criterion Collection, and the Resident's 'Freak Show' CD-ROM game.

Eli Samplin Marks, 1912-1991

Article Abstract:

Eli Samplin Marks, who died in 1991, was a statistician, as well as an author, a public speaker and a member of several professional organizations. Marks acted as the conscience of the professional organizations he joined, including the American Assn for Public Opinion Research, the American Statistical Assn and the American Psychological Assn. Marks followed high standards in his work.

House Veterans' Affairs Committee Chmn. G.V. Montgomery has been serving the committee since the Lyndon Johnson administration. He has fought for 30 years to give veterans the respect and due they deserve.
