The new long-term care insurance program in Germany

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to characterize the Long-Term Care Insurance Program in Germany. A number of similarities and differences between the program and conventional German social insurance-centered welfare systems were examined. These include entitlement criteria, reimbursement rules, and the effect of cash as an alternative choice to services. Results indicated that the insurance program supports the country's tradition of social insurance-based welfare provision. In addition, the program promotes coping schemes and care arrangements.

Consumer brand choice: Individual and group analyses of demand elasticity

Article Abstract:

Demand elasticity of individual consumers purchasing supermarket products is investigated and individual and group elasticity is compared following the behavior-analytic tradition of analyzing individual behavior. The results suggest that individual differences in demand elasticity are relatively consistent across time, but do not seem to be consistent across products.
