Article Abstract:

The interracial attitudes of Whites and Blacks are examined from a psychological perspective in order to better understand the nature of intergroup relations and racism. Topics addressed include modern racism theory, explaining Whites' negative attitudes towards Blacks, and Black reaction to White racism.

Evaluative versus conceptual judgments in automatic stereotyping and prejudice

Article Abstract:

This article examines the social psychology of stereotypes and judgments, focusing on automatic responses of racial prejudice. Researchers used priming in lexical and evaluative tasks to analyze and measure automatic prejudice White Americans and African Americans.
