Flexible use of source information: Processing components of the inconsistency effect in person memory

Article Abstract:

The impact of social expectancies on person memory is investigated using a source-recognition paradigm. The results support a model of flexible use of source information, demonstrate the importance of source memory, and of assessing it separately from item recognition and reconstructive guessing.

Crossed categorization and stereotyping: structural analyses, effect patterns, and dissociative effects of context relevance

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted, with a new method of "Who said what?" paradigm, to investigate the social categorization and non-evaluative stereotype application in crossed categorization. The results revealed on current models of category-based impression formation and inter-group perception.

Article Abstract:

The influence of individual differences in the strength of stereotypic association on category-based and individuating impression formation is investigated. Implications for the relations between categorization, stereotyping, and individuation are discussed.
