Fluoxetine in adolescents with comorbid major depression and an alcohol use disorder: A 3-year follow-up study

Article Abstract:

A 3-year follow-up evaluation determined whether the decreases in drinking and in depressive symptoms that were noted during an acute phase study with fluoxetine in comorbid adolescents persisted at a 3-year follow-up evaluation. Conclusions revealed that long-term therapeutic effects of an acute phase trial of fluoxetine plus psychotherapy slowly decrease.
