Foreword: the IBT's long road back

The report stated that the relationship between crime and IBT needed to be understood in order to break free and enjoy democratic unionism. The roots of corruption and racketeering in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) would be widely read by rank-and-file Teamsters.

Local 560: reforming the IBT's most mob-dominated local

Local 560, which was the most mob-influenced in the Teamsters union, was replaced by honest trade unionists. This progress is ultimately the strongest defense against the return of racketeers.
