The area of robotics is growing internationally, and several advances have been made in robots and how they carry out actions. Morgan Quig ley's Stair robot, University of Massachussets Amherst's UMan learn through trial and error, while University of Genoa is developing the android RobotCub. The development of their appendages are discussed.
