Inferences from decision difficulty

Article Abstract:

Studies are conducted where reported decision difficulty is used to infer preferences of the decision maker, and it is shown that inferences about the source of one's own decision difficulty may affect a decision maker's preferences. The notion of inferences from decision difficulty is integrated with dissonance theory, showing that in repeatable decisions, difficulty reduces post-decisional spreading of alternatives, while with one-time decisions, difficulty enhances post-decisional spreading of alternatives.

Accessibility from active and fulfilled goals

Article Abstract:

The accessibility of the goal-related and goal-unrelated constructs both before and after goal fulfillment are examined and compared with the accessibility of the same constructs in a control, no-goal condition. Studies reveal that goal-related accessibility and post-fulfillment inhibition were proportional to the goals expectancy, value and their interaction are given.

Completed vs. interrupted priming: Reduced accessibility from post-fulfillment inhibition

Article Abstract:

An experiment that was undertaken to check the accessibility of a primed construct measured with both lexical decision and impression formation procedures is discussed. The results suggested that task fulfillment instigates inhibition of goal related constructs.
