Interaction of procedural factors in human performance on yoked schedules

Article Abstract:

This article examines the effects of contextual variables and reinforcement schedules on human interaction with a video game. Findings indicate that behavioral responsiveness to reinforcement is significantly increased through the use of minimal verbal instructions, shaping to establish appropriate responses, and consummatory responses following reinforcement.

Does sensitivity to magnitude depend on the temporal distribution of reinforcement?

Article Abstract:

Research is conducted to know whether sensitivity to relative reinforcer magnitude in concurrent chains depends on the distribution of reinforcer delays when the terminal-link schedules are equal. It was found that preference for the 4-s reinforcer increased as the variability of the intervals comprising the mixed-time schedules were decreased.

Interresponse-time sensitivity during discrete-trial and free-operant concurrent variable-interval schedules

Article Abstract:

Researchers explore pigeons' response sensitivity to stimulus frequency. Research suggests that pigeons' response rate to stimulus depends on the elapsed time since the last response, also known as the active-schedule interresponse rate.
