Stratification in present-day Russia and the new middle class

The social features of the middle classes in post-Soviet Russia are examined. Topics include the relationship between social structure and interest groups, criteria for examining boundaries between social groups, the ruling class, the effects of privatization, the relation between income and status, and entrepreneurial development.
