Keeping PACE with seniors' needs: Health care meets housing in symbiotic partnerships

Article Abstract:

The PACE model is centered around the belief that it is better for the well-being of older adults with chronic care needs and their families- as well as a better use of public resources- to receive services in the community whenever possible. While housing is not part of the PACE benefit package, the program's providers recognize the role played by safe, decent and affordable housing in promoting wellness and quality of life for older persons.

Bubble bath: Will a crashing housing market sink low-income homebuyers?

Article Abstract:

Some economists have argued that the run-up in house prices is attributable to factors that affect the housing market, such as immigration, income growth, and environmental restrictions on building. It is found that the recent pattern in rental prices clearly demonstrates that a housing shortage is not responsible for the recent run-up in home prices.
