John Poindexter a Caltech PhD, dragged the White House into a digital age two decades ago plugging in everything from fiber-optic video to email. After stepping down as head of Darpa's Information Awareness Office, he talks about the program to revolutionize the US government's ability to identify terrorists using a combination of real and synthetic date and about his accusations of building giant data banks of private information.

James Murdoch: Rupert's son on satellite TV, his deal with Google, and the definition of mogul

James Murdoch points out that policy shifts have allowed British Sky Broadcasting (BSB) to reach homes cost effectively with a next-gen network. Murdoch says that BSB's sports and news contents permits the company to have a strong mobile presence despite their lack of their own network.
