Article Abstract:

The International Conference on Migration and Health took place in Geneva, Switzerland from Jun 2, 1992 to Jul 1, 1992. The conference provided an opportunity for professionals, policy-makers, non-governmental organizations and migrants' associations to examine issues touching on health and migration. Various topics were discussed among which include the effects of migration on health, the importance of controlling contagious diseases transmitted by migrants, the rights of migrants under international law and several technical topics.

The mixed-population issues in state-subsidized elderly housing: management problems posed by nonelderly and elderly tenants

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the management experiences of Local Housing Authorities in Connecticut on younger disabled tenants in state-subsidized elderly housing. The diversity that influences the experiences of the authorities were also examined. Results indicated that the success of mixed-age senior housing correlated with an adequate supply of affordable housing, residential options, community services and enforcement guidelines.
