Race differences in weigh concerns among women smokers: results from two independent samples

Article Abstract:

A survey of African American and white women smokers showed many similarities in attitudes about weight gain. While African American women's preferred weight was higher, both races were approximately the same amount overweight above their preferred weight. African American women were less willing to quit smoking if they thought it would mean putting on more weight.
