Self-control in relation to problem drinking and symptoms of disordered eating

Article Abstract:

Problem drinking and symptoms of disordered eating with regard to restrained drinking and eating and cognitive self control was investigated. Three factors with eigenvalues higher than one were found to summarise the links between the examined measures, and the first two factors mainly reflected problem drinking and restrained drinking, and problem eating and restrained eating, in both sexes. The third factor was a more general underlying control problem.
