German sociology of law

Article Abstract:

Much of the research establishing sociolegal inquiry began in Germany but there is currently little in that nation producing an influential society and law movement. To attain more than minor relevance, the university legal curriculum should be reformed and research efforts increased.

A deeply rooted scientific discipline: origins and development of sociology of law in Italy

Article Abstract:

The sociology of law is well-established in Italy although little recognized by international scholarship. This is partly due to most research being published in Italian, partly to field research lacking sufficient strength, and partly to poor funding.
