Research and enlightenment on rural Chinese women's participation and community development

Article Abstract:

The factors that influence the participation of rural Chinese women in community development are discussed. Factors include public opinion and community pressures, self-awareness among women themselves, and provision of community services. Suggestions for promoting greater participation by women in community development are provided.
