Symptomatology across the menstrual cycle in smoking and nonsmoking women

Article Abstract:

Menstrual symptomatology has been found to be maximum during menses for both smoking and nonsmoking women. Cigarette craving existed in smokers during the entire menstrual cycle whereas nonsmokers reported an increased craving for cigarettes during menses and the luteal phases. The rate of smoking is significantly higher in smokers during menses and the luteal phases than the ovulation phase of menstrual cycle.
