The African American adolescent Respect Scale: A measure of a prosocial attitude

Article Abstract:

The development, psychometric analysis, and validation of the African American Respect Scale, a 20-item instrument measuring prosocial attitudes held by male adolescents is described. Suggestions for social work practice with African American youth include assessing their attitudes toward respect, and assisting them to handle disrespect without resorting to violence.

Post abortion grief: evaluating the possible efficacy of a spiritual group intervention

Article Abstract:

The efficacy of a spiritually based grief group intervention for women grieving an abortion is measured. The findings demonstrated that a time limited spiritual group intervention resulted in clinically significant improvement in reduction of shame and trauma for women experiencing post abortion grief (PAG).

Leader and therapeutic influences on prosocial skill building in school-based groups to prevent aggression

Article Abstract:

The effects of leader education and experience, therapeutic alliance and group participation on the prosocial skill development of school-based groups are analyzed. It was found that these skills help in reducing aggression level in the groups.
