The Orientation of Social Support measure

Article Abstract:

Research shows that the results obtained by the Social Support Questionnaire and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support do not correlate with results obtained by the Orientation of Social Support measure, indicating that it is important to study the orientation of social support rather than simply its extent. The measure's use in assessing levels of peer pressure are discussed.

Statistical definition of relapse: case study of family drug court

Article Abstract:

A tool is provided for clinicians and judges to distinguish relapse from persistent use based on statistical analyses of patterns of client drug use. A control chart is created for time-in-between relapses and it is shown how a statistical limit can be calculated by examining either the client's history or other clients in the same program.
