The institute for the advancement of social work research: Working to increase our practice and policy evidence base

Article Abstract:

Information regarding the Institute for the Advancement of Social Work Research (IASWR) work with its supporting social work organizations is discussed to provide a social work presence at national policy tables and gains grown from educative and advocacy efforts are highlighted. The IASWR board provides a forum for social work member organizational leadership to engage in profession-bridging strategies and practice and policy-strengthening initiatives.

Predicting program completion among families enrolled in a child neglect preventive intervention

Article Abstract:

A study is undertaken to understand service completion that is of utmost importance to the evaluation of outcomes of social work practice and to identify variables that are important to a client's completion of services. Findings show evidence that caregivers who struggle with depression could and do complete services.
