The determinants of delivery care in Kenya

Article Abstract:

In this article researchers report on the childbirth delivery care systems in Kenya. The research shows child care delivery is based on a variety of factors including socioeconomic and cultural factors, accessibility to health services, and unobserved factors within families and communities.

Premarital childbearing in Northwest Kenya: challenging the concept of illegitimacy

Article Abstract:

Data taken from the Turkana pastoralists in northwest Kenya is used to evaluate the hypothesis that the rising rate of premarital fertility in Africa is the result of the breakdown in the family's control over the sexual behavior of adolescents.
