The development of alcohol use and outcome expectancies among American Indian youth adults: A growth mixture model

Article Abstract:

The development of alcohol use and positive alcohol outcome expectancies in parallel on 464 14- to 18-year-old American Indian youth annually that were followed for seven years by using growth mixture modeling to find out classes with different trajectories of alcohol use and expectancies is examined. The results found five classes, and the largest is made up of youth who experienced increases in both alcohol use and positive outcome expectancies.
