The downside of Viagra: women's experiences and concerns

The article explores the exclusion of women in the health industry's male-oriented Viagra-prescribing process. Topics include assumptions regarding normative heterosexual relations among the aged, the psychosocial dynamics between individual couples, and unmet needs beyond penetrative intercourse.

Advocating voice: organisational, historical and social milieux of the Alzheimer's disease movement

The article addresses the absence of Alzheimer's disease patients as medical research advocates and spokespersons, and identifies organizational contradictions inside the Alzheimer's Association which prevent patients from being utilized effectively and successfully in health advocacy.

'Sex for life'? Men's counter-stories on 'erectile dysfunction', male sexuality and ageing

The problem of erectile difficulties in aging men and the usage of advanced sex enhancement drugs evaluated. A non-drug alternative for such disorders is also discussed by focusing on sex life of heterosexual men in New Zealand.
