The effects of time scarcity and time abundance on group performance quality and interaction process

Article Abstract:

The effects of time scarcity on group interaction and performance were studied in an experiment. Time was manipulated in terms of scarcity, abundance or optimal time. The groups' performance and output were rated in terms of length, originality, creativity, adequacy, issue involvement, quality of presentation, optimism and action orientation. Results showed that time scarcity or abundance greatly affected group interaction and performance.

Cancellation and focus: the role of shared and unique features in the choice process

Article Abstract:

An experiment carried out to determine the roles of shared and unique features of alternate choices in the choice process is discussed. As expected, results suggest that for unique pairs with good features, the chooser paid less attention to the bad features in deciding, while for unique pairs with bad features, the differing good features were focussed on in the decision-making process.

What you expect is not always what you get: the roles of extremity, optimism, and pessimism in the behavioral confirmation process

Article Abstract:

Evidence was found for behavioral confirmation of generalized future-event expectancies (optimism/pessimism) and for the moderating role of extremity by using a simulated job interview paradigm. Research is conducted on the social-cognitive consequences of generalized future-event expectancies and extremity to the behavioral domain.
