The employment provisions of the new student regulations

Article Abstract:

The US Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) has released the final regulations on the authorization for employment of F-1 students last Oct 29,1991. INS also established the Pilot Off-Campus Employment Program to give foreign students the chance to work in a job related to their field of studies. Some employers, however, have criticized the program as having too many requirements to facilitate employment. To ease the said hitch, the INS modified the program with the provision of the Post-Completion Practical Training and the Curricular Practical Training.
