The evaluation-behavior link: direct and beyond valence

Article Abstract:

Research undertaken to verify whether affective stimuli automatically trigger approach or avoidance responses, irrespective of their valence, is presented. Findings suggest that the implicit perception of affective stimuli automatically triggers the behavioral responses associated with them.

Authoritarianism, social dominance orientation and prejudice: effects of various self-categorization conditions

Article Abstract:

Social beliefs and prejudices among students relevant for inter-group relations are studied in several self-categorization conditions. The results obtained using right wing authoritarianism (RWA) and social dominance orientation (SDO) scales of social categorization are reported.

Article Abstract:

A fundamental 'statement bias', questions are more often misremembered as statements than vice versa, is demonstrated by four experiments. Results are consistent with the idea that during processing of a sentence the context of the sentence is represented similar to a statement.
