The interface between ethnic and national attachment: ethnic pluralism or ethnic dominance?

Article Abstract:

The interface between ethnic identity and the two dimensions of national attachment, namely, patriotism and nationalism, was analyzed using the data from the US and Israel. Results reveal that no significant relationship was found between the level of ethnic identity and the minority group members' national identity, contrary to that of the majority groups'. These findings posit that interface varies considerably with the type of ethnic group and dimension of national identity being examined.

The relationship between parental racial attitudes and children's implicit prejudice

Article Abstract:

The effect of university roommate contact on ethnic attitudes and behavior

Article Abstract:

The effect of living with White, Asian American, Latino or African American roommates on affective, cognitive and behavioral indicators of prejudice among university students is examined. The results suggest that although long-term, intimate interethnic contact is generally an effective means of reducing prejudice, it is not a panacea.
