Weight locus of control and weight-related attitudes and behaviors in an overweight population

Article Abstract:

This article discusses the results of the Weight Locus of Control Scale study in which the attitudes of overweight individuals toward health, obesity, and weight loss are measured. Results demonstrated that many overweight individuals claimed that access to physical exercise was complex due to cost and time issues, and claimed their family and friends did not understand how difficult it was to manage their weight.

The relationship among marijuana use, prior incarceration, and inmates' self-reported HIV/AIDS risk behaviors

Article Abstract:

The co-relation between the usage of marijuana drug and brief incarceration amongst inmates with HIV/AIDS and its effects and risk factors are examined. The income and frequency of use of marijuana observed before the arrest was the result of the repeated offense by the inmates, however self-proclaimed educated inmates had lesser chances of repeating the offense.
