Where epistemology meets ecology: can environmental news reporting survive postmodernism?

Article Abstract:

Liberal ironist philosopher Richard Rorty was known for his postmodern thoughts that were proposed by several scholars as appropriate for journalists. However, arguments were raised on the possibility that the theory of absolute reality be downplayed or denied by Rorty's postmodernism. Environmental reporting was used to discuss sensitive issues tackled by Rorty. It was suggested that journalists should consider alternative epistemologies before abandoning logical positivism.
