Avoiding floods

Flooding is the fastest way to ruin camcorders. To avoid flood damage, always prepare and follow a checklist for assembling the camera system. Ensure that O-rings are lubricated and free of nicks or abrasions, and the housing is secure. Other tips for preventing floods are listed.

New Jersey's Delaware: is the money filled strongbox still there?

Article Abstract:

The steamer Delaware sunk off the coast of Bayhead, NJ, on the night of July 8, 1898 and now lies in 76 feet of water. Its wreck is very popular among artifact hunters because of a legend that a strongbox containing $250,000 went down with the ship and is still unrecovered.

The sunken fleet of Bikini Atoll

Article Abstract:

A fleet of war vessels sank off Bikini Atoll which has become a major scuba diving site in the Pacific. Some of the ships that sank included the USS Saratoga, the USS Lamson, the HIJMS Nagato, the USS Apogon and the USS Anderson.
