Philippe Taillez, dive pioneer: still diving at age 94

Philippe Taillez, one of the three men who pioneered scuba diving during World War II, remains sprightly at age 94. Along with Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Frederic Dumas, he tried the self-contained breathing apparatus for the first time in Bandol, France. Capt Taillez used to be with the French Navy.

The Free Willy/Keiko Foundation initiated a rigorous training and testing program to prepare killer whale Keiko for eventual release to the ocean. Keiko, which starred in the Warner Brothers movie 'Free Willy,' was nursed back to health in a marine environment after years of captivity.
