Acute creatine loading increases fat-free mass, but does not affect blood pressure, plasma creatinine, or CK activity in men and women

Article Abstract:

Results indicate that blood pressure, renal function, or plasma creatine kinase activity are not affected by the administraion of acute creatine monohydrate. However, fat-free mass is significantly increased and is more evident in men than in women.

This article compares the effects of creatine and protein supplementation on muscle strength and athletic ability. An analysis of body mass index, body fat distribution, energy metabolism, and muscle fiber composition is presented.

Validity of predicting mean arterial blood pressure during exercise

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that the standard prediction method for estimating the mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) during exercise is valid. Results are based on comparisons of MAP predictions and actual MAP during exercise of 27 males and 2 women.
