Adventures in the city of skis: in which the mile-high vertical and high-speed quads of Whistler/Blackcomb turn our writer to toast

Article Abstract:

A ski vacation to the Whistler/Blackcomb area in British Columbia is described. The area set a record for North American resorts with 1.775 million skier visits in the 1994-95 ski season. Development of recreational facilities and tourist accommodations is ongoing.
