Age and temporal trends of total physical activity among Swedish women

Article Abstract:

Few epidemiological studies are conducted among middle-aged women on long-term total and specific physical activity (PA) trends and the study in cross-sectional setting the relationship of self-reported total daily PA with age and calendar time is presented. The results suggest that intervention efforts aims at engaging in healthful amounts of physical activity are needed throughout the life cycle.

Physical activities and low back pain: A community-based study

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to evaluate the relationship between low back pain (LBP) prevalence and severity and the different dimensions of physical activity in a defined community. The results showed that increased LBP measures contributed to decline in sporting activities participation but participating in regular sporting activities did not contribute to low LBP prevalence or to decreased severity.

Age and temporal trends of total physical activity in Swedish men

Article Abstract:

Research reveals that total daily physical exercise activity decreases at age 30 and 50 as against at 15 years. Furthermore, Total physical exercise activity decreases over a period of 60 years. These negative trends in the three age groups with time may be the cause for obesity.
