Dr. Wendell Belfield is a veterinarian who began using natural remedies to cure ailments of his patients in the early 1960s. His use of vitamins instead of drugs to treat problems is described. The ways in which chemicals are used to treat illnesses in dogs is evaluated.

Hunting dogs should be in top physical condition to be able to hunt efficiently. The dogs should be exercised regularly to raise their aerobic heart rate, given plenty of water to drink and be given vitamin supplements. Other conditioning tips are given.
