Eccentric exercise in coronary patients: central hemodynamic and metabolic responses

Article Abstract:

Results point out that eccentric exercise involving high-load muscular exercise training is recommended as safe for low-risk coronary heart disease patients with no angina, inducible ischemia, or left ventricular dysfunction with minimal cardiovascular stress. Data suggest an uncoupling of skeletal muscle load and cardiovascular stress during eccentric exercise.

Left ventricular function during interval and steady state exercise

Article Abstract:

This article describes research to determine how the heart's left ventricle functions during interval training. Results showed little variation for the left ventricle whether in interval training or steady state exercise.
