Effect of Red Bull energy drink on repeated Wingate cycle performance and bench-press muscle endurance

Article Abstract:

The effects of Red Bull energy drink on upper body muscle endurance and anaerobic Wingate cycle performance in young adults were investigated. It was revealed that though there was some increase in the endurance level of the upper body, there was no effect on Wingate anaerobic power.

Nutritional adequacy of different menu settings in elite Spanish adolescent soccer players

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted on an elite group of adolescent Spanish soccer players to assess the nutritional adequacy of a self-chosen buffet-style menu and a fixed menu. Results showed that these menus did not meet the scientific recommendations of an active adolescent population.

Iron deficiency and anemia: A common problem in female elite soccer players

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the prevalence of iron deficiency and anemia among female Swedish elite soccer players. Investigations showed that female soccer players had 57% had iron deficiency and 29% iron deficiency anemia.
