Effect of training mode and calcium intake on bone mineral density in female master cyclists, runners, and non-athletes

Article Abstract:

This article examines the relationship between sport-specific training, calcium intake, and bone density changes in female athletes. Results indicate that there were significant differences in site-specific bone density changes among cyclists, runners, and control subjects but there were no significant correlations between calcium intake levels and bone loss.
