Exercise and working memory: an individual differences investigation

Article Abstract:

Tests of working memory capacity are conducted to measure whether executive function might benefit from an acute bout of exercise and the extent to which working memory of individuals would be affected by an exercise manipulation. It is observed that acute bouts of exercise may most benefit healthy adults with the lowest cognitive performance, but the impact of exercise on cognition is not uniform across all individuals.
