Feel-good air fare: don't let 'terminal food' keep you grounded

Research indicates that travelers who eat dairy products or foods with high fat or salt content increase their risk of airsickness during a flight. A light meal that is high in carbohydrates should be eaten two to three hours before departure to prevent airsickness.

Poison guard: lotion may keep itch away

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that a lotion with quaternium-18 bentonite, an ingredient often found in sunscreens and lotions, is effective in preventing reactions to poison ivy. The Food and Drug Administration is testing the lotion for approval.
